1% for the Planet is an international organization whose members contribute at least one percent of their sales to environmental causes. The goal of this generosity is to build, support, and activate an alliance of businesses financially committed to creating a healthy planet. Haddon Avenue Elementary School serves K-5 grade students in Pacoima, California, which has traditionally been one of the poorest neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Haddon is pioneering a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) educational philosophy that is designed to teach children about the connections between different fields from an early age. We are working with Haddon faculty to create classroom and field trip activities for Haddon's students.

We are an Associated Society of the Geological Society of America. GSA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing geoscience research and discovery, service to society, stewardship of Earth, and the geosciences profession. GSA was established in 1888.
