Mission Mojave 2017-2018

Mission Mojave is targeting a square kilometer of the Mojave Desert. We combine environmental science with educational opportunities for students. Our research expeditions to date have included over 150 volunteer researchers, including undergraduate and graduate students, university professors, and industry professionals. We have collected over 8,000 observations of our area's biology, geology, hydrology, and atmosphere. We are currently unraveling the connections between all of these different elements to help us build a true "blueprint" of how the desert works.

This is what over 1,000 environmental observations in 1 square kilometer looks like! We have geo, bio, hydro, and atmosphere...and we're not done!

Explore how Blueprint Earth is working to improve the future of our planet's environments, starting with the Mojave Desert.

Learn how we're using science to gain an unparalleled understanding of how our world works. We use geology, biology, hydrology, atmospheric science, and engineering, so there's something for everyone.

We have several educational programs to allow students to participate in Blueprint Earth's work. We have had participation from over 17 colleges and universities, and we are currently partnered with a Los Angeles elementary school.
